Emily Stephens - Accommodation operator & founder
My experience in the accommodation industry started over 20 years ago. Holding many management positions including running small properties in the country and as a manager of large operations in the city. Both in Australia and overseas, my whole career has been in the area of hospitality and tourism. I appreciate the many different aspects hospitality, tourism and the accommodation industry. As an experienced hands-on manager, I understand the importance of achieving competence in all aspects of the business. From marketing to maintenance, cleaning to customer service, I continue to learn and enjoy the rapidly changing landscape of this trade.
By providing coach and mentor sessions I can share my knowledge, skills and expertise with like-minded people. My focus is on helping providers build successful accommodation businesses and bringing their vision of the property to life. With a changed tourist economy in Australia, there is a strong push towards loving local and getting back to basics and into nature.
Collaboration is key, I love meeting new people in the industry and look forward to creating new connections while helping businesses with change and growth.

1. I'm very much a morning person. Love a beautiful sunrise and working out, sets me up for a great day.
2. Operations, procedures and logistics are enjoyable for me. Tedious for some, however I love creating a system that works.
3. Country/regional areas are my favourite places to be. There is so much beauty in the country including the people, the relaxed atmosphere and the community spirit.
